The Neva Endin Journey

It so happens that everyone who goes abroad starts off with " I am going to come back to India " but that never happens !! I'v told the same thing too , but i am coming back for reasons which will be justified in this post

No no , its not the toilet paper stuff , I AM USED TO IT NOW ! :)

Let me start of with the list of things i miss about India :




Food : The food here sucks big big time ! No spices at all ! No taste at all ! Sometimes i wonder if these people in Netherlands have any taste buds or not ! Everything is so freaking dry ! But there is a small advantage here ! We have some parties here where we get to have awesome indian food cooked by others and also some parties in other foreign student houses that we get to have a taste of their country food , Amazing !! I MISS BIRYANI !!! When i was in india , i used to eat this literally every day and as im not an expert cook or nowhere close to it , preparing this is way out of my league. If someone could give me the easiest recipe to do biryani , Please do it at the latest :)

Sense of humor : Everyone is so serious in this place ! No Jokes at all ! When i was in India , i used to laugh so much, now this is all gone ! :( Its rare to see people just hanging out and talking an laughing away to glory ! Everyone is so formal here but let me tell you one thing , They Are very patient ! Everyone listens to you even if they do not understand the Indian Accent !

The same people : It so happens in India that you hang out with the same people and everythign you do has something has some or the other person involved. Most of your life you do literally every thing with friends and family, so when ur abroad everything you do reminds of you someone else back in India !! Damn you people make me miss India ! :)

But here , you meet new people everyday that the next time you meet them , you literally forget their names ! I miss hangin out, knowing people very well , , more than eva ! WEl u guys / girls know who you are ! :) The idea Of " Lets chill out " , doesnt exist here ! ;)

Cars : Wel In Manipal , all my friends had car's , literally everyone ! We used to hang out in coffee day and there would be around 9 to 10 friend's cars parked that everytime we came there the watchman knew there would be no more places , so we used to get shouted at every time ! lol ! :) And we used to roam a lot in the cars ... But Now !!! WE RIDE CYCLES !!! God .. its like we are coming back to where we started .. A car to a bike or superbike is okay , but a cycle ?? Cmon ! ;) !!! God ! ;)

Beaches : Me n my friends used to go to beaches late in the night at about 2 AM literally every night ! WE used to go and gossip about everyone (GUYS ALSO DO IT) .. Used to talk about common people we hate , talk about problems and try to make things better for one another ! It was fun .. ! But now? Shit! All i see is my tap water and bathroom water ! No lakes , no beaches ! Nothing ! :( and yes Water is not free here , it is more expensive than Beer !

Treats : I miss irritating people to treat me for any stupid reason ! WE USED TO WAIT FOR REASONS and also make up reasons to make my friends treat us ! One example is that i made my friend treat me for " knowing Us " ! BEAT THAT !!! Who in the world would give a treat for that ? Thankz Ajay ! you are the man ! lol :) ! Here in Netherlands , if you go anywhere , they treat you and give you drinks and food ! The most common dialogue in the netherlands is " Hey how are you , let me buy you a drink " ! Lol but in India , its like " why the fuck should i buy him a drink ? ;) !

We fooled Imran telling he got selected in " kaun banega crorepathi " n he treated us for that and after he got to know it was a joke , the damage was already done ! Sorry bro ! Well let me give u more example

I made my fren called Naveed treat us because he wore a new Flashy white shirt with black stripes on it which be bought from some store in Manipal the same day ! It so happened that at that moment there were so many people that he eventually spent more money treating us than he paid for the Shirt ! ;)


Scoldings : I am not kidding about this one !! I was so used to my mom shouting at me and asking why i was coming home so late ! Asking permission and making her to just say yes was fun ... ( she always said yes in the end ) !!! But now there is nothing !!!! Can come back to my place any time and no questions asked! No one to ask where i was ,which friends was i with and etc !! he he .. ! Getting scoldings was a part and parcel of my everyday life ... but now its all gone !

Speed : For the people who know me , I used to drive and ride very fast !! But used to get blasted at by relatives and family for the stunts i used to try ! There was once when i got a fracture in my left hand and but still rode my kinetic with one hand for 20 days ! ( 1 day went in convincing my parents i could ride with one hand ! lol ) Crazy shit i must say ! Wel ya .. The bottom line in Netherlands is " Whats the point , how fast can i ride a cycle ?!?!" Lol !!
